Celebrate The Treasures!

As we draw to a close for the month of March, we are so grateful for the beautiful treasures we have been able to enjoy this month. In keeping with our "Alive In All Seasons" theme of Performance, "Your Treasure Is Within," we were able to focus our gaze to all those little treasures that bring so much joy to each of us!

We enjoyed a Spicy, New Orleans Dance Team which even had our residents and staff showing off their treasured dance moves!  Our "First Lady," who is the first resident to reside here at Juniper of Williamstown celebrated her birthday in style with her Best Friend, enjoying her favorite meal of Oysters, especially ordered and prepared by our Wonderful Dining Director Ray! We also welcomed Rowan University Students in for an inter-generational day of beauty to prepare our ladies for the Easter Holiday with beautiful and colorful manicures!  They just love to show them off!

Of course, we cannot forget our Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Events!  Residents, families, Juniper Associates and all the children had a blast!  If that wasn't enough, the Easter Bunny and His Girlfriend showed up for extra special treats and fun for all the children!

Living The Treasure Within!

This month at Juniper of Williamstown, we are doing just that!  It is so exciting to have the burst of spring with sunny and longer days! Like the beautiful foliage all around, beginning to burst forth with new brilliant display, so are we here at Juniper of Williamstown.  We are enjoying listening to the new song of the birds, and watching the very busy work of the brilliant red cardinal that has moved into our patio! Joy is everywhere!

We have welcomed new residents this spring and as they make new friends in their new home, they enjoy creating treasures of their own in Jeweler Design Class!  Not only are they making new treasures, but they are wearing their artistry in full display!  We enjoy welcoming new team members to our Associate team here at Williamstown and our residents are already requesting them by name!

Of course, we must not forget our amazing Irish Cultural Day/St. Patty's Day Celebration! It was a truly joyous day filled with the treasures of Irish Culture!  Residents enjoyed the joyous sounds of Ireland, Traditional Irish Potatoes, and of course Green Beer, which our Dining Manager Ray, provided in abundance!

March 2016 Events in Williamstown, NJ: Your Treasure is Within

As we bring down the curtain on our Creative Expressions series we focus this month on Drama. Juliette Binoche said, “I think acting is about forgetting yourself in order to give the best of yourself. It's passing through you more than you're creating it. You're not the flower, but the vase which holds the flower.”

Through dramatic performance we are able to forget about ourselves while becoming someone else, if only for a moment. We can be transported to another time, another place and another way of thinking. With all of our inhibitions set aside we focus this month on breaking out of our shells to share a bit of ourselves with wild abandon through our weekly drama clubs which will culminate in a fantastic performance or reading of dramatic prose. We invite you to join us in this enlightening journey of self-discovery through the magic of theater this month. We will also be attending theatrical performances around town, where we can let our inner critic loose. One last opportunity to become someone else is offered during our Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations, where everyone can be Irish for the day. Join us as we feast on traditional Irish foods such as corned beef and cabbage, soda bread, shepherd’s pie and more! Lastly, March would not be complete without honoring the dramatic achievements of others with our own Oscar Party. This month we invite you to let your inner star shine at Juniper Village.

§  Performing Limbs Presentation by our own Genesis Rehab team to help you stay healthy and strong on March 21^st at 10:00 am.
