Friendship In Williamstown - "Spread Your Joy"!

As we kick off September 2013, we are enjoying our "Alive In All Seasons" Theme of Friendship: "Spread Your Joy"! At Juniper Village of Williamstown you can't help but to become fast friends and part of the family in our community! It is so great during these times in history to be a part of such a wonderful community of people

celebrating long time friends as well as new ones!

We began September with our Annual Patriotic Salute Celebration on Labor Day and soon followed up with many wonderful out trips and
events some of these included our Out To Lunch Trip with Friends celebration, the residents had a great day touring the area parks and waterways and then enjoyed a wonderful afternoon lunch out together! Everyone had a blast! Soon following we heard that on her 90th Birthday, one of very own resident won an award for her Art work! What a great birthday gift for your 90th birthday! You see, it's true what they say: You can always begin something new at any time! She was so excited and is going strong with no intention of slowing down! Then we celebrated another great birthday with family and friends within our community and created more new friends! Our resident was so surprised and couldn't get over his blue surprise! As if that wasn't enough, we hosted our Red Hatter's Celebration with great refreshments, games and prizes and of course The Queen Bee and Grand Mum were in attendance fully adorned with their red hats!

"Breath of Life with Love"

Wow! What an amazing end to our summer of 2013 season here at Juniper Village of Williamstown! We have had such a wonderful summer creating lots of lasting memories with family & friends!

This month, with our Alive In All Seasons Theme of: Environment - "Breathe In Life"; we enjoyed many wonderful activities and events such as our "Restore The Jersey Shore: Event, which raised a wonderful donation to be presented to the NJ Hurricaine Sandy Relief Fund that will enable the Juniper Village Communities and families to participate in the rebuilding of the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy earlier this year! We were all so very excited about this wonderful event and the generosity of all of our families, residents, care associates, care partners and Juniper Village Communities who are matching our donation!

In addition, we had a huge turn out for our annual community wide shredder event, which had over 250 cars here to take advantage of cleaning out the old and creating a cleaner, fresh environment!

In addition, we celebrated our Care Associate obtaining their driving license and receiving their first new car! We enjoyed out trips to see new ways of providing energy such as solar panels and we ate lunch at a holistic green garden cafe! In addition we had many fun outdoor fitness activities and beach ball toss with friends! We also were entertained with summer fun concerts by the areas best entertainers!

Breathing In and Celebrating Life

 

This year as we begin the month of August, our focus is on our Alive In All Season's Theme of: The Environment-"Breathe In Life". We have many wonderful activities and events scheduled to reflect our dedication to being an integral part of caring for our environment, helping our community and celebrating life in abundance! In doing so, we began with wonderful resident birthday celebrations with families and friends enjoying their time together. In addition, we  welcomed new residents and families to our community and enjoyed meet & greet socials as we became fast friends! Then as if that wasn't wonderful enough, residents have enjoyed 50's celebrations on our patio with ice cream sodas, Sundays and root beer float parties!

We have enjoyed presentations on going green, maintaining and protecting our environment and best of all we had our annual community wide outreach celebration just yesterday and it was amazing! This year we decided that in light of the devastation by Hurricane Sandy to our Jersey Shore and entire coastline, our outreach this year would be to raise funds for the NJ Relief Fund to "Restore The Jersey Shore"! Residents,care associates, families, friends, partners in caring and community guests all participated in making this event a huge success! We celebrated with great food, refreshments, ice cream, summer beach party music, hoola hoops, dancing and much much more! We also were
surprised with a very special guest appearance by our very own, Miss New Jersey, Mrs. Joy Carmack, whom also was 3rd Runner Up for Mrs. America. I must say our Miss New Jersey was amazing. She took the time to take photos with everyone and even dance with our gentlemen as well as hoola hoop & line dance! The very best part of all is that we have raised $1613.00 which we will deliver to the NJ Relief Fund to help in the relief effort to restore the Jersey Shore!
