Celebration of Life & Love!

What an amazing kick off season of 2012 we have been enjoying at Juniper Village of Williamstown, NJ!  We have had so many wonderful moments that have been treasured by all!  We encourage our residents to utilize all of their special gifts and unique talents as a means of maintaining independence and an added boost to self esteem, while at the same time bringing so much benefit and joy to everyone in the community! As we see here, one of our residents is utilizing her gift and love of flower arranging to make beautiful table settings of fresh flowers for everyone to enjoy!  Our Alive In All Seasons Theme for the month of February was "Explore Your Creativity" Art: "Awaken Your Passion"! As we engaged in our activities and events for the month, we encouraged everyone to explore these areas of their own heart and lives! In doing so, we enjoyed heightened excitement about all of these wonderful events!  Everyone really brought something special to each event and the lives of all were enriched! We enjoyed wonderful moments celebrating the unusually warm weather with quiet walks in nature exploring the magnificence of our bodies living in wellness! We celebrated love with our Celebrate Romance, Pink Champagne, Chocolates & Roses Event with very romantic sounds of "Saxcat Ron"! Even the teddy bears were feeling the Love!  We enjoyed celebrating  the great loves of our lifetime and celebrated love in all phases of life! True Love, Romance, love of family, friends and community!  We were all enhanced with the beautiful stories and memories that were shared by all!We also were touched by the love of the miracle of life and nature and even our love of pets and how much joy and unconditional love they lavish on us!  We continued our events with the love of dancing and many wonderful moments of art and entertainment throughout the season! You could just feel the love flowing throughout the community! We were had many great surprises with family members and guests stopping by to participate in all of our special events throughout the month!  We also held our annual Valentines Balloon Bouquet Drive to benefit the Alzheimer's Foundation which was very successful. Delight was on the face of all whom received their special Valentines Day Balloon Bouquet!  Everyone pitched in to make this a successful event!  Even Jose, our cook kindly took time and  posed for photographs with some of the many special ladies who flocked to receive a special Valentine from him!!  "Love Is In The Air" here at Williamstown!  (Jose brought smiles to everyone!)  It was a special treat throughout this season to enjoy the decadent chocolate flowing everywhere, such as chocolate, double fudge cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate covered pretzels and even sugar -free chocolate cookies!!!!!! It was chocolate heaven for all of the chocolate lovers out there!!!!!  As we continued on throughout this wonderful season, we held many educational lectures and programs to enhance the lives and passion that exists within! One such, program was facilitated by Bonnie Joffe of 50 and Beyond! Bonnie gave a very informative inter-active presentation on enriching our lives after the age of 50 and gave us many resources and tips on continuing to live well! As we come to a close on this season we were given a delightful gift with a celebration of art, music and life with our very first on site Art Gallery event!  We enjoyed fabulous jazz artistry from the David Dowell Trio as we were filled with the passion and vision of our local artists, one of whom was our very own Mr. Alan Rose of Williamstown, NJ!  He brings a fresh and vibrant look into his vision of the arts through many wonderful pieces that were beautifully displayed in our community!  It was a gala event for all and the champagne was flowing!  Many pieces were also purchased by family, residents and juniper associates!  That's what it is all about!  Treasuring the gift of Life, Love, and Art with All!!! We invite you to come and visit our community at any of our events! Take a respite from all of the daily tasks and remember to "Awaken Your Passion" with your friends at Juniper Village!
