Juniper Village in Williamstown, NJ embraces the philosophy of "Growing Strong Daily" by creating an environment of warmth, family, friendship and home! It is our goal to utilize all of the resources available to us to bring a sense of great celebration of life to our residents each and every day! We strive daily to create an environment that is inviting, and brings love, compassion, and great joy to everyone. Bringing new and wonderful surprises for everyone to become involved in and to look forward to creates a positive expectancy in all of our hearts! We also believe in celebrating all that life has to offer, by making something special out of even the simplest of moments. We embrace our wonderful families, staff, volunteers and Care Partners in bringing the most joyful experiences possible to enrich each day spent in our home. We begin this beautiful month of May with a very colorful and festive Cinco De Mayo Party which included a traditional Mexican Lunch of fajitas, rice, and beans! Wow! Following that, we engaged in a "Happy Hour with frozen Margaritas, Lime taco chips, salsa and "Muy Caliente" "Hot! Hot! Hot! Salsa Dancing for everyone! What an amazing party! Everyone was dancing and as you can see, also participated in keeping the great salsa rhythms going! One of our wonderful families even donated additional beautiful Mexican Hats and Morracas to participate in the event with us! We are so fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful community of family here at Juniper Village in Williamstown.
In continuing on with the celebrations we had a most beautiful "Mother's Day Tea" on Saturday, May 7th which included Mothers, daughters, sons, granddaughters, great granddaughters and very special friends! Everyone was included. All in attendance enjoyed a very special day with the most angelic harp of Miss Kitty Juregi, a Certified Harp Therapist. Kitty strolled through the crowd playing the most beautiful music while posing for photos for all of the families and never missed a note. Kitty is out of the Philadelphia area and is a most talented harpist! After our tea, Kitty also performed for all of the residents in our Wellspring building to ensure that everyone was enriched by the most therapeutic and heavenly music on this delightful Mother's Day! In addition, we had a very extensive hand crafted jewelery design display by Ms. Linda Richardson. Our residents and families really enjoyed the beautiful, unique designs as they browsed and shopped, selecting the most dazzling piece as a gift for the day.We captured many photos of our beautiful mothers, their children and grandchildren enjoying these precious moments.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words and I say "creating one moment of joy in another's life compels a greater value than can ever be named!" We hope everyone enjoyed a very happy Mother's Day!
