"Excellence In Care" comes to New Jersey!

Our Memory Care Program stands above the others.  Williamstown is the first and only New Jersey memory care community, and only one of thirty in the country, to have received this honor to be recognized by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America for "Excellence in Care, Dementia Program of Distinction".

Juniper Village strives for standards above the AFA regulations and is recognized for the Excellence in Care award.  As many of you know, at Juniper Village, we shy away from labels and titles, as they do not define us.  However, it is with great pride that we explain how this is more than just a title, it is a badge of honor.

You see, our entire mission statement is built on the belief that if we Nurture the Spirit of Life in each individual we serve by maintaining an active body, engaged mind and fulfilled spirit, that we will bring fulfillment in all Seasons of Life.  We honor this commitment daily through our specialized programming and specialized care.

We provide state of the art programs that offer a balance of safety, structure, independence and nurturing support for body, mind and spirit. Our pioneering programs and innovatively designed environment have been recognized by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. Again, it must be said, not as a promotion of the title, but as recognition of the badge of honor and the quality of care our Residents receive: We are the first and only memory care program in New Jersey to have received this honor to be named a Dementia Program of Distinction recognized for "Excellence In Care".

Did we mention that we have a whole lot of fun too?!  Come see why we stand above the others. Call today to arrange a visit or get more information.  856.740.4444.

You may also join us for National Memory Screening Day on November 16 at noon for a free, confidential memory screening and opportunity to learn more about healthy lifestyle choices for maintaining your brain.

Here at Williamstown, we intend to maintain an ongoing involvement with the AFA that will serve to further support and strengthen our mission of Nurturing the Spirit of Life!

You, your family and your friends are cordially invited to join Juniper Village at Williamstown in celebration of this most noteworthy achievement. We will be holding an Open House on December 2, 2010 at 4:00pm.

Show Your Colors

October was a cornucopia of Juniper festivities from Wellsprings to the
Village, as our Residents came together to celebrate sports month and show their colors.
Individuals show their colors in many different ways from sports to
spirits!

Residents from both communities gathered in the Village living room for a friendly competition of balloon volleyball. It seems that each year the communities have "volleyed" the title as they
have alternated championship titles for the past 3 years! I wonder if the cycle will continue next October!
Mickey Bucknam shows her Juniper spirit with a glass of sparkling cider "spirits" while enjoying October fest with the Sterling String Band performing.

The sports excitement continued through the month as the weather cooperated and sun greeted Jim McCully who brought in his dragster for an up close and personal look at the sport of drag racing.

Juniper took their show on the road at their monthly bowling outing as the residents competed for the trophy of honor that is passed about each month at this friendly competition.

Motorcycle mania erupted as the Warrior Watch Riders made a thunderous entrance during the yellow ribbon club recognition of the Juniper
Village Veterans.  A few Residents braved the rumbling ride as the adventurous side came out!
The Warrior Watch Riders have supported the Yellow Ribbon Club for years, welcoming and escorting the returning soldiers home from war. This day they saluted our Veterans who have sacrificed and served our country.

October was full of festivites thus far, however, the fun is not over yet!
