March Onward at Juniper Village of Williamstown!

The days of March started off with a jolt into the latest and greatest technology as our residents are exposed to boundless options that the future holds. Our residents were treated to a special guest, volunteering at our community! His name is lovingly "Technology Nick" as we call him and he is bringing exposure to the wonderful world of technology and all of its possibilities to the residents in our community.  He dazzled and had the crowd amazed as he demonstrated and explained what our world now looks like through the eyes of technology!  In addition, he assisted our residents with challenges they were experiencing with their new t.v. cable boxes and cell phones and other media equipment.  Nick is a wonderful addition to our community and a wonderful young man with an awesome future ahead of him..... We have adopted Nick and are committed to bringing joy and confidence to him as he helps all of us grasp what seems to be so natural for him!

As we moved along in March, we had a total standing room only available as we presented a hearing screening by "Miracle Ear" with Doctors and hearing specialists on hand to give everyone who attended a look inside their ears with "State of the Art" Technology and gave personalized screenings.  The crowd was very impressed with this new technology in hearing testing and were very happy to receive this free screening and will follow up with personalized recommendations and follow up at a later date!  We even had a very humorous moment with one of our resident's family members who had been instructed to come out on that day to attend our Carnevale Celebration in full mask!  The only problem was, once she arrived with her mask on she bolted through the door to find everyone on line and everything seemed just a little off to her, but she couldn't put her finger on what was not quite right!  Finally, as she looked around she realized she was the only one with a mask on and while she expected to see a party and musicians she found instead Doctors and medical equipment!  Everyone burst out into laughter, especially the Doctor and hearing technicians and residents!!!!! It was a great time for all as we lovingly advised her that the Carnevale Celebration was the following week!!!!! Needless to say she texted her sister immediately!  Paybacks are due!!!! She really added to the fun that day!!!!
As we moved along through our journey of March, we enjoyed wonderful experiences with our Pet Therapy sessions with some really special Canine friends!  There was so much joy in the room!  Not only did we create special moments with our Canine friends, but many new friendships are developing within our community with our residents and staff and volunteers!  It is a community of great warmth, family, friendship and the joy of living!  We continued this joy with a very special musical events and celebrations for St. Patty's Day and our very special Carnevale Event!  Everyone enjoyed these events and we celebrated the exuberance, joy, colors, music and wonder of life with all of the very special people that attended!  Our residents, staff, families, delivery services, and friends in the surrounding communities, especially the children, were in awe of the wonderful music, artists, delicacies and special surprise of our Stilt Walking, Juggler, Airplane Flying guest who arrived, barely fitting through the doorways!  He brought smiles to everyone, even the band who was also kept in the dark about his arrival!  It was an amazing time for everyone!  And if you are thinking about our very special family member who arrived a week early, even she came again on the right day and had a really, really, great time!  We welcome all of you to come out to our wonderful community during the spring and summer season as we have many wonderful events going on!  Come and enjoy life with us!

January 2012 - Juniper at Williamstown, NJ Kicks Off a Fabulous New Year!

Soon after our New Year's Day 2012 Celebration, Juniper at Willimstown got busy welcoming the Red Hatters for a fun, and fabulous Luncheon!  We even welcomed our new queen "Maria" standing in center so regal like!!!!!!!  We are so happy to have the Red Hatters active and soaring at our community and with our very special new queen Marie we can expect a great year with even more fun than we shared on our 2012 Red Hatter's Kick Off!!!!!!  As we moved along, we had a beautiful family and friends 2012 Kick Off Party with the fabulous "Voices Of Legends", Mr. Eric Kearns to entertain us in the style of the greatest legends of the day such as: Bobby Vinton, Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, and others!!!! Eric is a favorite entertainer here at Juniper of Williamstown and he always wows the crowd, especially the ladies!!!!!! It was a wonderful night!

As we move forward in 2012 it is important for us to continue to bring many educational programs and lectures to our residents, families and the community as well.  We began this new year with wonderful lectures such as: The new findings in the field of Macular Degeneration! This is a topic that many people are concerned with as they age..... It was a packed house and there were so many shared questions and ideas within our group....It was very interesting and informative........Moving along we had another wonderful educational program on the topic of: Mentorship and the importance of including mentors, coaches and encouragers into your life.  This again was a packed house and was so inspiring to everyone!!!

Well as if we weren't busy enough, our men needed to have a little fun with the boys time!  So off we went to the pool hall!!!!!! What a great time we had!  We went out to a enjoy a fun lunch and then it was serious billiards for these guys!!! Competition was high and skill was impeccable!!!!! They had a great time and we look forward to our next night out with the boys!!!!!

As we know "The King Of Rock & Roll" "Elvis" celebrated his Birthday in January, so in keeping his wonderful legend and memory alive along with so many other adoring fans, Juniper Village of Williamstown had a bang up party in celebration of the "King" Elvis Presley!  It was an amazing time for everyone...... "Elvis" Mark Reno of Cherry Hill, performed an outstanding show for everyone....... The ladies were in love again as "Elvis" (Mark) gave special attention to every one of them and sang and danced until he dropped!  Our families, staff and even the guys had a wonderful time!  It was an outstanding performance and everyone in attendance felt like we were on the movie set with Elvis and Ann Margaret again...It was a memory of the good old days!!!!! (Mark) even gave honors to our men and special vets here that have served so great in the military, as he told of Elvis's history in the service as well.....!  Mark also does great work for children of abuse in the community and he collects teddy bears and gives them out......We surprised Mark with a collection of Teddy Bears to take with him after giving us such a wonderful show being "Elvis"!

We look forward to seeing all of you at our upcoming events in the next several months!  We are going to have an amazing 2012!!!!!!!!!!
