As we began this month of March, residents, families and community of friends have been enjoying a wonderful time of exploring new unfound talent in themselves as well as beautiful performances from the masters!
Some of our own residents have enjoyed reaching "Stardom" as they performed in drama skits with other residents, staff and family members! Even our resident dog gave a howl or two! We also were treated to a beautiful cello performance by area students that brought tears to our eyes! And then just to cheer everyone up on a rainy day,
we celebrated some of the great jazz sounds with area jazz masters on keyboard and sax. And then, as usual these days, our beautiful house pet, "Gunner" had to steal the show by performing for our children and "he had them at hello"! Smiles, giggles and all out belly laughs were heard all throughout the community! I keep trying to tell everyone as a performer you never want to follow puppies and babies, they will always steal the show!
And then we all got together as we watched history taking place before our eyes as a new Pope stepped into Papal Office. Our residents, families, associates and friends gathered together to witness this historic and beautiful event. Everyone was touched as we received the first prayer from Pope Francis along with everyone at the Vatican in Italy and friends across the Globe. Everyone was very touched at this event!
We have a lot planned for the rest of the month and hope to see you at our St. Patty's Day celebration and our Easter Event! Remember to always celebrate the "Treasure Within" as each moment together is precious!
